Showtime/CBS announce full Mayweather-Pacquiao pre-fight broadcast schedule

Showtime Networks Inc. and parent company CBS Corporation have scheduled a broad range of programming and promotion across the Company’s diverse portfolio of media platforms in anticipation of the showdown between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, May 2.

SHOWTIME Sports® is anchoring the charge with 13½ hours of first-run shoulder programming, including its acclaimed documentary series INSIDE MAYWEATHER vs. PACQUIAO, classic fights and a comprehensive offering of digital assets.

"Mayweather-Pacquiao" Headed for disappointing numbers?

The person’s sentiment represents that of countless others around the world. He’s a boxing fan but apparently the same concern is the reason why, two weeks to fight date, I am tackling greed rather than discussing about how Pac and Floyd can outbox or outrun each other; or how “Mayweather-Pacquiao” can be dubbed afterward as the most boring and disappointing fight ever.

Mr. Razor is the man who just emailed yours truly, and here’s what he feels about the Mega Bout: “I hope the fight won’t live up to their expectation that it will shatter all time record on revenue... Majority will not have the opportunity to see it live on TV… I might share with my friends and family to watch or just wait for the news and watch it on replay…  AFTER 5 YEARS OF WAITING, THEY DENIED THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THE MAJORITY. This is bad for the sport of boxing although the fight is (supposedly) great for the fans.  I think this might be the start of downfall of PPV especially greed has more to do with it than the pleasure of the fans.  I will boycott in paying a PPV.”

Greed’s problem is not money, it’s the human heart.
