On the night of Saturday 28th 2012 the main event on the card maybe former WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa, who defended that title 11 times, will take on Shigetaka Ikehara in a 12 round bout for the vacant WBC Silver flyweight title. The night may belong to 2 young bothers Luis and Julio Ceja their popularity is sweeping across Mexico at a rapid rate! Luis “Gallo” Ceja is the older of the 2 brothers; he’ll turn 22 on August 17th. Luis Ceja currently has a record of 22 (KO 18) -1 -3 in the light flyweight division and is ranked 12th in the world and 4th in Mexico. On Saturday night he’ll take on fellow countryman Ivan Meneses who has a record of 17 (KO 10) -10 (KO 4) -1. They’ll square off for 10 rounds of boxing, the vacant IBF Latino light flyweight title will be on the line. I’m going out on a limb and predict Luis “Gallo” Ceja will claim the IBF Latino light flyweight title. Julio “Pollito” Ceja is only 19 and won’t turn 20 till November 18th this year. Julio Ceja he currently has a record of 19 (KO 18) -0 -0 with an amazing KO% of 94.74 in only 52 rounds of boxing. He’s ranked 15th in the world and 6th in Mexico as a bantamweight. Just like his older brother he’ll face another fellow Mexican boxer, Genaro Camargo who at the age of 25 already has 51 pro bouts under his belt with a record of 39 (KO 31) -12 (KO 9) -0. With Camargo having 12 losses and 9 of them by way of knockout I’m going to predict the younger Julio Ceja will win the 10 round bout early and pick-up win number 20 by way of a knockout! Mexico is loaded with good young boxers, but all can’t be superstars like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. or Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. If handled properly Luis and Julio Ceja are headed towards stardom as they are tearing up Mexico at a rapid pace. If all goes according to plan don’t be surprised to see each of the of the Ceja brothers with a major championship belt around their waists by 2014! These two brothers are most definitely will be added to my watch list and will gain more exposure with each outing they have. The night of Saturday 28th 2012 will be a special night as both brother will be on the same card hoping to move up the world rankings. Each of them has incredible boxing skills and knockout power. Everything needed to launch them into stardom. Will continue to follow them on their quest for world championship glory, here at ringnews24.com.
